Synthesis and electrochemical study of phosphorus-doped porous carbon for supercapacitor applications

Abstract In the present investigation, we report incorporation of phosphorous (P) atoms in activated carbon and study its effect on electrochemical performance. Porous is synthesized by chemical activation method from a bioresource then pretreated with nitric acid. Phosphorus were doped simple method. The obtained phosphorous-doped nano-materials show an appreciable change porosity creation more wide range meso- macropores, this affects their adsorption shows that at 850 °C (AC t P-850) delivers maximum specific capacitance (328 Fg −1 ) neutral aqueous electrolyte (1 M Na 2 SO 4 ). material not only exhibits good cycling performance but also highest energy 29 Wh kg corresponding to power 646 W . improved capacitive porous proposes use storage applications.
